Delta adding free in-flight entertainment for all fliers
Delta Air Lines is upgrading its in-flight entertainment offerings to include free video programming that customers can stream to their electronic devices.
“Through the introduction of Delta Studio our customers have yet another reason to choose Delta and a different travel experience,” Tim Mapes, Delta’s SVP for Marketing says in a statement. “Delta continues to be driven by customer feedback which has consistently placed the desire to be entertained at the top of the list of ways to improve our customers’ time in the air.”
When the change is introduced, Delta says customers in all classes of service will have a basic selection of free in-flight entertainment. “Premium” content — such as “the latest movie titles” and certain “on-demand TV shows” — will cost extra in Delta’s Economy seats.
